Fit(ness) Matters
Being fit is not a destination, it’s a way of life. Being fit is not about just losing those extra kilos or building up muscles, it’s about making a decision to choose leading a healthy lifestyle.
The journey of fitness starts the day one decides to improve one’s standard of living, which includes both physical as well as mental health. It can start with making small changes in one’s daily routine by eating healthy and exercising. A quick run builds up stamina and leads to better performance.
Exercise and high intensity workouts put a strain on the body and it’s important to provide the body with the right nutrition for it to recoup. This is where what we eat comes into play. Optimum level of protein consumption while working out and food rich in protein like dairy, pulses and meat alone doesn’t punch in all the protein requirement. An average adult who works out should be consuming around 1g protein per kilogram per day of their body weight. This requirement cannot be fulfilled by food alone and needs to be compensated with protein supplements.
Protein supplements like whey protein and micellar casein not only help fulfilling the protein requirement but also help in gaining strength, muscle recovery and reduced body fat while working out.
The changes might not be visible immediately, but a little progress each day consistently shows results in the long run. Each day is a new opportunity to improve yourself and make the most of it!
